How it Began
In 2011 out of a form 4 chemistry lab the first formula was tested as a routine laboratory practical. I had made my first flake of soap. Yes I said '"flake", it turns out without a soap mold, soap would precipitate as flakes. The fire sparked in me ..... if I can make basic soap then I can formulate anything to solve my skin issue.
I had very bad acne back then and I would have tried and did try anything to get rid of it. Later I did get rid of it by trying many things all at once. Then there was the hair phase, all my teenage life my hair was relaxed. I have type 4B hair, and I never truly embraced myself.
In my adult life I finally earnt to love my hair and the diversity it brings. I also started wearing hair extensions. I finally saw it as a celebration of the diversity of my hair and not me masking my straight relaxed hair.
I also love animals especially birds. I have pet parrots and I always found that bird nutrition was the hardest to upkeep with. Dogs and cats had so much variety of food choices and chow formulae, but all birds had to eat sunflower seeds.
As Helter skelter as the story sounds it is true. I thought to myself why not pursue my passions not separately but in one concerted effort? How would people receive it? It turns out they would love the idea just as I did.
